Ad-Din Women’s Medical College (AWMC) is a private medical college in Bangladesh, exclusively for female students, established in 2008. It is located in Maghbazar, Dhaka. It is affiliated with Dhaka University as a constituent college.
It offers a five-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. A one-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. The degree is recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). Within the premises, there are 500-bed Ad-Din Medical College Hospital. The hospital offers treatment for both males and females, but over 90% of its patients are women or children.
- There are four lecture theatres and an auditorium with state-of-the-art infrastructure which are fully air-conditioned. Seminar rooms and demonstration rooms are also available in each department.
- The rooms are well ventilated with a proper lighting system, built-in and portable writing boards, and equipped with LCD projectors, overhead projectors, and computers with high wattage audio aids.
- The library is well stocked with books from all branches of medicine. It is located on the fifth and sixth floors of the college building. The 8800 square feet library has Wi-Fi and a separate internet browsing room equipped with an adequate number of computers.
- College has a computer laboratory and facilities for playing video cassettes and CDs. The library remains open from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on all work days. It has a collection of over 5000 textbooks, references, and monographs. It also has national and foreign journals on medical and allied subjects. The reading rooms can accommodate up to 100 students at a time.
