SELECTION & ADMISSION PROCESS
Candidates who pass the competitive exam administered by the Directorate General of Health Services are eligible for admission to UAMC. According to guidelines provided by the office of the Director General of Health Services, a selection committee established by the Academic Council selects the students in the end based on the results of the national "admission test examination" (DGHS). First-come, first-served admission will be used, and the chronological order of merit will be strictly observed. Selected candidates will need to pass a medical examination (conducted by licensed UAMC doctors) to demonstrate their physical fitness. The students who were ultimately accepted are acknowledged as having received provisional admission to the relevant college. The People's Republic of Bangladesh's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare subsequently issues a gazette notification confirming admission.
